08:11 AM ET 10.12 | Billy Wagner has more than just empathy when it comes to how the 2011 season ended for Craig Kimbrel. [Wagner] was the closer for the 2007 New York Mets when they lost a seven-game lead with 17 to play. That's why Wagner was quick to pick up his phone that night, Sept. 28, and text Kimbrel. "He said 'Don't let this get you down,'" Kimbrel said. "'Learn from your mistakes and let it make you a better pitcher.' ... It definitely meant a lot." That kind of support from Wagner, teammates, family and friends has helped Kimbrel come to grips with his disappointment, and quickly. Only two weeks into his offseason, Kimbrel said he's past it. "There's nothing I can do about it," he said. "I'm not going to let it beat me up."

Get over it, kid. Your team wasn't beating the Brewers anyway.

My personal Thanks to Mr. Kimbrel on a Fine season...

I drafted him (Fantasy Baseball) in the very late rounds back in late March and he was an absolute SOD.

Next year I'm gonna have to spend a much higher pick on him.

Freddi G should have been fired for the way he over-used Kimbrel. in the offseason the kid needs to rest his arm, else its going to fall off around July next year.
