[Bryant], as reported by Il Resto del Carlino, is close to accepting the single game proposal made by Claudio Sabatini, owner of Virtus Bologna. I would love to see Kobe break his leg and end his career in Italy. I mean if a couple of million dollars is that important that he wants to tempt fate... I think fate should kick his ass.
And I wish the same on any bonafide NBA player that does the same.

I don't get the reasoning behind this... How is he "tempting fate" by playing in one game (or even a 10 game season)? Why would anybody in his right mind turn down that sort of opportunity (especially considering there's nothing disingenuous about it)?

Agreed. 2 mill for one game? Why not? Plus I'm sure there will be some jersey sales involved. Who wants a Virtus Bologna Kobe jersey?

Lol, I agree with you. It would be ironic to see him or any players go overseas for 1 game or a season and have career end due to an injury. Players are so dang greedy these days. Players seem to forget that owners have bills and leases to pay regardless and should get more than 50% of pot. If players want more money then just demand it in the contracts they sign to play. No employees in any other businesses can go in and demand more profits from the company or they will walk and get away with it. Businesses will just let you go and hire someone else. Maybe that is what the NBA owners need to do. I am sure there are several hundreds of college players that didn't get drafted that would love to play in NBA and take the players of the greedy ones now and another benefit would be that we help the jobless...lol
