08:10 AM ET 10.13 | Barnstorming may become the next best thing to the NBA these days. We've started to hear credible rumblings of a big-time overseas tour for a group of elite NBA superstars, designed to fill the void left by the cancellation of the first two weeks of the season. The details are a little fuzzy at this point, and none of this has been confirmed (we'll leave that to the reporters who are sure to chase this story), but here's what we're hearing: - A group of NBA stars will head overseas for a tour from the last week of October to mid-November. - Names we're hearing include Carmelo, LeBron, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul. But it sounds like the tour would include enough NBA players to put together two teams.

The Globetrotters and the generals is just about what the tour would amount to... or even worse an all star game where the only object is to run back and forth and try to see who gets to dunk the ball more than the other guys before time runs out... and no defense allowed.

Of course since most of the "Stars" can't play defense anyway that won't be hard to enforce.

And No refs needed.

Im going back to what I said earlier. get rid of all of the players and hold a massive draft for all new ones, and include the current players who are willing to work under the new system... They can stay overseas..

All this media coverage about posibilities that may or may not happen is getting ridiculous

Yeah... but what else do they have to talk about? It's like there's an entire league of players with their own personal "The Decision" specials out there.
