Bulls may explore Wallace trade

Serious trade talk typically doesn't begin until January in the NBA, but logic would suggest general manager John Paxson is ready to explore ways to trade Ben Wallace. The Bulls would have to pay a premium, but one positive is that his contract was front-loaded, which means from the original $60 million deal, he's owed $28.5 million over the next two seasons.

I think what Big Ben needs is a new headband present courtesy of Skiles, maybe that would start-up his game.

December 24, 2007  11:31 AM ET

i once thought big ben was the missing peice, but no more,i'm liking the rocket trade rumors

December 24, 2007  11:33 AM ET

that would make the C's a straight lock for the east

December 24, 2007  11:51 AM ET

well if you ever needed a big contract.....and yeah yeah yeah i know we're all tired of hearing this but.....

maybe its time to explore the kobe trade again.....the lakers would get wallace....kobe said he wants to play with wallace anyways but he's washed up and we got aaron gray and joakim noah to protect inside....

and then ben gordon cause he cant defend worth the **** and he's so bad at shooting right now he could miss the floor if he wanted to....

maybe you could throw in a draft pick or two......who knows...??

you got value in the trade and a contract big enough to reach kobe for the most part...

How about Ben Wallace to the grocery store for 3 doughnuts and a tooth brush?

The Bulls should consider a bag of chips or a pound of peanuts as well. Just my 2 cents.

Wallace will remain a Bull through the contract (unless someone wants his expiring contract next season). No one in his sane mind will 'trade' for a man that can't score, rebound or keep his mouth shut. Bulls fans must be dreaming to propose all kinds of trade scenarios. Not all teams have isiah as the GM.

December 24, 2007  12:49 PM ET

we need a big guy who can score...not one who is scared of the basket and does a layup lik eme in 3rd grade.

December 24, 2007  01:11 PM ET

Scott Skiles got fired today
who ever comes in now, is gonna build the team around the players he likes, so expect many faces along with wallace to possibly exit

makes it interesting for a Kobe scenario?

December 24, 2007  01:24 PM ET

Skiles fired... that sucks. And on Christmas Eve too. That's gotta burn.

December 24, 2007  02:31 PM ET

Good luck trading this overpriced stiff he should be on the unemployment line with Skiles for making the Bulls team look foolish this season.

December 24, 2007  02:53 PM ET

The Bulls will soon see, Skiles wasn't the problem. This is the same coach that took this same team to the playoffs last year. Now all of a sudden, he's not the man for the job? It's just easier to fire the coach as opposed to 15 overpaid, underchieving, overinflated egos.

Past:
Kupchak: We'll give you Kobe for Deng, Wallace & Gordon.
Paxson: Never!

Present:
Kupchak: Yeah, right! You should have taken the deal back then!
Paxson: Oops!

December 24, 2007  03:38 PM ET

Skiles gets fired after a 9-16 start, and a 3 year playoff run.
In other news Isiah gets huge christmas bonus for his stupendous success over the years with the Knicks organization.
