Indians will make Sizemore wait

The Indians have until three days after the conclusion of the World Series to make a decision on the club options contained in the contracts of center fielder Grady Sizemore and pitcher Fausto Carmona. Cleveland plans to take its time in weighing its options. "I don't think too much has changed," general manager Chris Antonetti said on Wednesday. "I would expect our decision on both Fausto and Grady to come down to [being made] on or around the deadline that is in place. These are big decisions for us." Sizemore, who underwent surgery on his right knee on Oct. 3, has a club option worth $9 million for the 2012 season.

short money? what is that? $8 million for a guy who has missed more games than he has played over the last 3-4 seasons is alot to give to a player knowing their team payroll last season was $49 million at opening day (a bit higher now with the Ubaldo trade).
$8 million would acccount for about 15% of their team payroll, pretty significant if he can't play somewhat regularly.

I hear you...I'm not saying he's necessarily a good investment given the health history, just that the money's not bad if he can actually come back and play like he used to. I honestly doubt they'll pick him up, but I'm sure they're reviewing the medical reports on the surgery very carefully.

about bobby abreu he will become free agent this winter, he won't mind to sign with the indians for a million/ one year deal plus they can use him in the DH spot and sometimes he can be playing the outfield!!
