08:05 AM ET 10.14 | Brandon Marshall vowed Thursday to go off, even if it means being penalized. [Marshall] had been as quiet off the field through the first five weeks of the season as he has been on it. That all ended Thursday when the 27-year-old, two-time Pro Bowl selection diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder this offseason amped up his pregame Jets talk by promising "to play like a monster" on Monday Night Football and declaring four times that his goal is to "get kicked out in the second quarter." "I think the past four games have been tough for me, trying to control some things, and, hey man, I'm just going to let it out," Marshall said of his emotions. "I don't care if I have two, three cameras on me. I don't care if I have penalties."

Diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder? Is something in the water in Miami? Didn't Ricky Williams have this also?

Might as well get kicked out... either way, Fish suck.

"promising "to play like a monster" ". Unfortuneately, that monster is the Cookie Monster.

Get kicked out, penalties, so much for this being a team team sport! What a great team player. LOL

declaring four times that his goal is to "get kicked out in the second quarter."...

Sure, the NFL and Refs will turn a blind eye to that kind of talk ...

" I don't care if I have penalties." ...

sounds like a GREAT way to help your team .... a 15 yard Personal Foul Penalty ...

Sounds to me like the Coach / GM ... needs to give Brandon a time out, and make him 'INACTIVE' for Monday Night game .... just STAY home and watch the game on TV ;)

gotta sit him out.

I'd hazard a guess that the % of the NFL with BPD is significantly higher than the national average....a lot of these guys just want to hurt someone without going to jail....and they admit to it as if it's something to be proud of....

I'm hoping Roman Harper gets fined for his comments about his fine saying it was worth it....he's basically saying that the fine failed in it's purpose to punish him....obviously he needs more lessons....suspend him for a game or two...I wonder if he'll think the lack of a couple of game checks is worth it...

Marshall is an IDIOT.

October 14, 2011  08:30 AM ET

Sounds good, Brandon. Get kicked out of the game in the 2nd quarter. Just make sure you are playing like a "monster". What an idiot.

October 14, 2011  08:33 AM ET

if he 's on the field or off the field in Miami - it ain't gonna make much difference , if you want to get kicked out of the game give the ref a wedgie

October 14, 2011  08:35 AM ET

Did he run out of his meds again? NUTJOB!

October 14, 2011  08:44 AM ET

I think this clowns personality disorder has crossed over the border. He is a full blown nut-job to declare his goal is to get ejected before halftime. I'm sure he will get his wish, great way to help your team- Idiot.

the thing is, if he's just talking to get attention but doesn't actually DO anything to get ejected, he's actually giving people a reason to watch just to find out what he does....WWE style...

it's not like Rex Ryan isn't taking cues right out of the WWE handbook...the whole team could go that route...most of the players already wish they could hide behind masks...

or setting up the refs to crack down on him and penalize him for "marginal" hits that might otherwise go unpunished.

If he gets thrown out in the second quarter, maybe one of his other personalities could suit up and play the second half.

BPD is not the same as a dissociative fugue(what USED to be called multiple personality disorder)...he doesn't have different personalities...the one he has makes questionable decisions and can be quite anti-social
