08:09 AM ET 10.16 | The Jets shipped Derrick Mason to the Texans because they found him to be more trouble than he was worth. It was taking Mason awhile to learn Brian Schottenheimer's offense, but that didn't stop him from complaining about his lack of involvement in the passing game. Meanwhile, he was leaving after games to go to his Nashville home and returning Tuesday night, as he was allowed to do per his contract. He could have been using that time to get up to speed.

Mason's ok, but he doesn't have much time left. I didn't even realize they had traded him.

Never thought of this dude as a cancer...

Houston might be the last chance for him to clear that perception up.

Maybe he's not so much a cancer as the situation in NY being effed up. I never heard anything from this guy in Baltimore .

Amen brother

I don't think there is any question that Mason has been considered a stand up, good guy for a long, long time. The jury is still out on Brian Schottenheimer as an OC and the 2011 Jets as a team.

The jury's out on Schoddy: he sucks ass.
Even the most ardent Jets fans will agree he's not good.

Take one mildly talented offensive coordinator, add a limp wristed, panty wearing QB = 2011 NY Jets.

Thing is a true professional would look like a cancer in the Jets locker room that is full of little more than a bunch of chumps and losers.
