08:10 AM ET 10.16 | One guy who may be available is Cowboys running back Tashard Choice. Choice, currently the No. 2 tailback behind Felix Jones, has only 21 carries for 53 yards in four 2011 games. He's in the final year of his contract, making him an unrestricted free agent in 2012. If Choice goes, rookie DeMarco Murray would move up one spot. Murray has gotten only 14 carries, gaining only 39 yards, in his first NFL season. It's unknown whether Choice actually can be had, or what the Cowboys would want for him.

Is That Your Choice, Bro?

October 16, 2011  08:32 AM ET

Who's in the market for a runningback right now?

October 16, 2011  08:37 AM ET

No... He's not available.

October 16, 2011  08:52 AM ET

Keep him.

Before any trades for a free agent RB to be would be made you would see practice squads get raided. RBs just do not have much trade value to begin with. Not in the new NFL.

With those kind of numbers and Felix Jones not doing to much better maybe Dallas should be in the market.

Never understood why this kid didn't get more carries

October 16, 2011  11:50 AM ET

Choice is the best all-around RB on the team! Give the kid the ball!

trade deadline is Tuesday, we shall see

Choice is a total "scrub" on special teams. He doesn't know his role, until he embraces the special teams role he will always be a bubble guy. Choice will be off the team next year. Murrary will will replace him in the rotation.

The Lions could use another back. Best is one nick from his shaver from missing the rest of the season.

My choice is to trade Romo.

Murry has been an extreme disappointment to the Cowboy's staff. Rumor is he came in with an attitude of entitlement 'cause he's from a big time football factory (OU). He needs to forget all this and get his head in the books ... learn the offense then make some plays.

Jerry will take a bag of chips and a hot dog.

Ladies and Gentlemen, a round of applause for your 2011 Washington Redskins, starring Gross Wrecksman. Welcome back, Bad Rex. I knew you wouldn't be gone long.

He may be gone back to the bench in favor of Beck next week.

Jones reiterated that Felix being injured means Choice is staying. It's difficult to tell the potential of the backs in Dallas w/ a young inexperienced OL. It's going to take another season for these guys to gel. Seriously - A rookie OL usually means a dead QB.
