08:07 AM ET 10.18 | We may never know the target of Jay Cutler's vitriol. Plenty has been made this season about the problems the Chicago Bears have had getting plays transmitted into [Cutler] this season, a process that goes from offensive coordinator Mike Martz in the booth to quarterbacks coach Shane Day and then onto the field. The Bears have blown through plenty of timeouts when they've been delayed getting the play in, and Cutler's frustration was raised late in the first half Sunday night when NBC cameras and microphones apparently caught him voicing his displeasure. "Tell him I said (bleep) you," was picked up by the cameras as Cutler moved to the line of scrimmage. The target of his anger remains unknown.

With all the grief that dude has to put up with... I'm sure he had every reason.

Mike Martz seems to think that getting Cutler clobbered at the end of the play is a reasonable price to pay for a completion. Martz and Kurt Warner was one of those unique combinations that worked. Martz and anyone else doesn't seem to have much magic.

Find out who he was p!ssed at... and then maybe it's newsworthy.

Maybe.

2nd best effete qb in the league behind Eli, you'd think he'd get a little respect.

Warner had Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce Torry Holt, et cetera... a lot of offensive talent to work with. Martz doesn't have quite as much to work with now.

Same to you, Jay.

Sad, but true.

I guess it's my fault. I actually read this little piece of nothing that's passing itself off as news. Cutler could have been talking about anybody in his life, from his own linemen to his receivers to his coach to his massage therapist to his mortgage broker (sorry, he probably doesn't have a mortgage broker) to his postman to his agent to his little brother. Who cares? and what's wrong with me that I actually read this drivel?

I give them extra vocabulary points for using "vitriol" in a sentence.

I'd give them an extra point if they could spell it on the first try.

Actually, Warner took a lot of hits while playing for Martz. And he probably had more talent at every position than Cutler currently has.

Another "poor Cutler" thread. FN must be bucking to get the kid a raise.

Which story were you reading? Obviously, not this one. THIS story, is about not getting plays to Cutler on time and Cutler not caring what another person thinks. Cutler is more than earning his pay and, as far as I see, hasn't been asking for a raise. Just an OL that protects him. They got him that this weekend.

Keep up.
