08:22 AM ET 10.18 | Nick Saban livened up a Monday conference call with a lesson in French. [Saban] dropped an s-bomb today during his press conference to preview the Alabama-Tennessee game. [Saban answered questions about the Heisman Trophy and possible SEC conference expansion], but took exception to the questioning. "You all create so many problems," Saban said to the general press corps in attendance. "I hate to start on this, but whether guys are going out for the draft that shouldn't even be thinking about that right now. Whether we're worrying about the Heisman Trophy, now we're worrying about playing Missouri rather than Tennessee some time down the road. I could give a [bleep] about all that, excuse my French."

Translation: I don't want my players to start believing what the press says about them and look past UTk.

I don't have Terrence Cody to block 2 field goals this year if things go bad.

QUOTE(#1):

I don't watch much Tide football but when I do I never see Saban chew out a defensive player. I know the defense is excellent but everyone misses a tackle once in a while or is caught out of position. It's usually the quarterback that he goes after. I wonder what happens in practice.

I've seen him get on to defensive guys. He ran out on to the field to yell at John Fulton who was almost getting into a scrap a couple of games ago.

Dre Kirkpatrick of all people was helping get Fulton settled down.

The press knows he hates questions like that and no coach likes those questions. "Hey, do you think so and so will go pro after this year?"

"Hey, do you think so and so should win the Heisman or is in the running?"

What's up with the dumb questions?

I think they are obligated to ask dumb questions. Otherwise I have no explanation"Hey you just missed a 35 yrd game winning FG. How do ya feel son?"

Worst I ever saw was an ESPN (I think it was ESPN) reporter asking Hank Geathers mom how she felt seeing her son collapse, after he collapsed on the court.

I seriously saw that question asked. Well, she just got off the phone where she was lsoing it. How do YOU think she felt?

He won't have to answer these questions after LSU beats them

This is the biggest line I have ever seen either way for this game. I don't think it';s coming down to a blocked field goal. When they played in 2009, coach was talking about how the team needed a rest.

Take that for what it is worth, but I haven't heard any talk about the team needing a rest physically or mentally this year.

I bet you picked the Yankees to win the World Series this year, too, heh heh.

Sounds like an excuse.

I saw that too. However, Saban did not go all "Kelly" on the kid.

Man am I glad you said that. I feel so much better now about 'bama's chances. You really should put away that Avatar if you're going to pick winners and losers...

Ask him how he feels about the Dolphins 0-6 start.

Cuz their is a method to Saban's madness... Its more controlled, unlike Kelly...

Plus the reason why he got on to the kid was worth it.

whoops make that 0-5 but 0-6 will prolly be accurate soon enough.
