08:20 AM ET 10.18 | In Mack Brown's world, there's no reason Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz should be forced to exchange postgame pleasantries. Brown said he'd like to see the NCAA or the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) look at the issue. "I've been a proponent of not shaking hands after a game for a long time. Some guys don't like each other," Brown said. "After a game, some guy may have run up a score, some guy gets beat on a last second, no, I have felt a long time, those TV cameras love it because they run right in the face hoping somebody's going to mess it up." On Saturday, Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and Vanderbilt coach James Franklin got into a verbal confrontation after Georgia's 33-28 win.

You clowns are getting paid millions to coach a kids game and represent huge groups of people-is it really that hard to show a tiny bit of class for 10 seconds after each game?

Todd Grantham is a piece of ****. Last year, he gave the choke signal to Chaz Henry before a made FG. Then UGA made him "apologize".

You said it. Grantham leads his team by example.

This is all because of Deloss's power and money grab.

Weird story.

I say do away with it........too much emotion going at the end of a high-stakes physical competion to think that there isn't going to be confrontation now and then

I saw I think Parcell's (I thinkit was his - might have been Jimmy Johnson's) take on this. He said he didn't really like it because if you're the loser the other guy is either going to gloat or he's going to say, "Keep your head up, you're doing a good job, blah, blah, blah..." Neither of which you want to hear.

So, do I have to shake hands with OT, Default, JRM and the Colonel? They give me hell all the time!

October 18, 2011  09:15 AM ET

The "neither of which you want to hear" should have been part of the quote and not my words.

You do it to set the example for the players.

Schwartz looks like someone that can class up a bit. Harbaugh just seems like an ****
