Arizona's struggles ring of bad coaching

08:04 AM ET 10.19 | Six weeks into a new era that hasn't gone so well, Larry Fitzgerald was defending his head coach and reminding people about how important Anquan Boldin was during the more successful era. Fitzgerald is smiling. He says he has not lost hope. He says there are no "bad fish" on the team and he likes the current resolve he feels in the locker room. But their record is 1-4, the new quarterback is trying too hard and an emotional team meeting reveals a season already on the brink. It smells like bad coaching. From a defensive coordinator forced to scale back his scheming to an offense that coughs and sputters, the 2011 Cardinals seem less prepared than other NFL teams that faced similar adversity.
