Marlins moving Ramirez from short?

08:16 AM ET 10.20 | Not long after Ozzie Guillen talked to Hanley Ramirez, the Marlins manger had a chance to squash the idea of moving Ramirez from shortstop -- and he didn't take it. Ramirez indicated last season he would not be opposed to moving if the Marlins signed free agent and fellow Dominican shortstop Jose Reyes, likely a long shot considering Reyes' injury history and the contract he'll garner on the open market. "I just got there, and I just want him on the field no matter where," Guillen said. "Does it have to be at shortstop? Does it have to be somewhere else? I just want this kid to be on the field every day and that's what I'm looking for. ... It's up to the Marlins what they have in mind, what they want to do."

Great. Here goes Ozzie. It's all about him. BTW, Ozzie, the people running that team wouldn't even consider signing Jose Reyes. It's their understanding that Reyes wants more than the major league minimum.

ramirez most changes his attitude towards his own team, its getting late and he hasn't done anything to mature, it seems like this player its walking backwards for some reason,,,

The marlins have too many holes if they want to compete next season. If Vazquez doesn't come back, the starting pitching will be bad. I think the H2R to the Reds (Bailey, Alonso, Cordero) makes alotta sense. Lomo for another starter.

Given his salary, and his production this year, and his attitude, will there really be much of a market? And given that attitude, how many days will it be from the start of spring training before Ozzie and Hanley are brawling?

Doesn't it look like Hanley is saying, "You call another strike on me and I'll show you what the back of this hand can do, you disgusting peon of an ump..."??
