08:30 AM ET 10.20 | Harrison Barnes, who reportedly added 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason, certainly considered leaving North Carolina. [John Henson and Tyler Zeller] announced their decisions to return to school nearly two weeks before Barnes did in mid-April. Barnes said Wednesday that if his teammates had gone pro early that he would have been more likely to do so, too. He was more open to the NBA idea than the two big men and did more investigating before deciding to stay. "We had a lot of discussions, the three of us," Barnes said. "It wasn't me sitting in a room every day for eight hours wondering what I would do. The biggest thing was that if we all came back we could really do something special."

This guy is going to be incredible this year. I still love his commitment story, when Coach K had the entire duke team in his office to hear Barnes call Roy Williams to say he was coming to chapel hill. Coach K **** his pants in rage and had a temper tantrum in front of his players. Fantastic.

Barnes returned to do something special,Yes indeed, to LOSE to Kentucky again in the NCAA Tourney as Kentucky wins it all this year!!!

I doubt that UK will win the title. If that happened, I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA vacated the title due to Calipari & Company's shenanigans. Can you say World Wide Wes? UNC will be the champs wait and see.

UNC all the way this year baby. I cant wait, they have the talent and the roster to flirt with going undefeated. This might just be all the basketball we get to see this year.

Nothing is as special as signing a multi-millon dollar contract but good on him as the NBA season is all but dead.

QUOTE(#6):

Yes it would, as he did nothing last year to speak of, at first was really off.

Dude, your saying Barnes did nothing last year? Did you watch ANY of their games other than the KY match up in the tourney, oh yeah remember we beat yall in the December game, Barnes only had 12pts in 25 min in that one, not sure did he hit the GWS? At any rate he did not start the season as strong as we would have liked, he was a freshman though, and the top prospect coming out of HS, lotta pressure there. He finished the season as Mr. Clutch though and he will likely be even better this year.
