08:02 AM ET 10.21 | LaDainian Tomlinson will start against his former team this weekend, though he may not be done with them yet. The first nine seasons of [Tomlinson's] future Hall of Fame career were played in San Diego. Now with the Jets, the running back said he may one day retire as a Charger. "It's possible," Tomlinson said. "I don't hold any bones toward the organization or have any ill feelings toward ownership. I think (team president) Dean Spanos is a great guy, I had a great relationship with him while I was there. So I mean, it's possible that I could." Tomlinson recorded eight 1,000-yard seasons in a row for San Diego and set an NFL record with 31 touchdowns, 28 rushing, in the 2006 season.

No thread on Norv Turner "ripping" Rex Ryan?

"I wonder if he would've kept those rings where he keeps the others he's been promising every year."

The Star Ledger must be having a hard time filling up the Sports section.

The only rings Rex Ryan will ever see are the ones he leaves in the bathtub.

Way to stay focused LT!

October 21, 2011  08:17 AM ET

LT isn't the impact player he was a few years ago. I could certainly see the ceremonial 1-day contract, but if San Diego is serious about winning, they should be looking for guys who can do more to help the team.

Even if they have players (which they've had) the front office is going to F it up anyway.

One word "CLASS"

LT? As long as he's not talking about the Pats or Belichick.

Thanks for clearing that up. I always thought it was the coaching.

It should be, but if the Lord Without Rings is still running the front office, it might not happen.
