08:28 AM ET 10.21 | As of Friday morning, Phil Kessel had yet to talk about it on his fairly new Twitter account, but Tyler Seguin had another strong performance against the Leafs. Last year, it was Oct. 28. Seguin scored the second Bruins' goal in a 2-0 shutout victory against the Maple Leafs. Following his goal came the very first "Thank You Kessel" chant, which was heard once again Thursday. ... Seguin's career-high three points added to his already team-leading total, and his eight points through seven games are more than a third of his entire regular-season production (11 goals, 11 assists) from last season. The second overall pick in 2010 by the Bruins thanks to the [Kessel] trade, Seguin has been considered a superstar in the making since the day B's drafted.

Niiiiiiiiiice!

October 21, 2011  08:36 AM ET

Didn't do too much during the game either. Neither did his mates.

If I ever see Jonas Gustavsson in net again, I will hurl myself off the roof of an Ikea.

B's just seemed to be everywhere in that game, probably the best they have played all season..
So now does Kessel hit one of his slumps? or does he get right back on the early season fast track?

he didn't play well, but his D was not doing much either, they were backing off and letting the Bruins walk right to the net most of the night

True. All the goals against him came from up close.

They should be thanking Burke, not Kessel. Kessel just whined and wimped his way out of town...Burke gave us the picks.

Depending on your definition of close, not all. I believe it was Bergeron's goal that was from the high slot.

That's a lot nicer than Crosby Sucks!

The Leafs are a shell of a team without Armstrong.

Mr Phaneuf...Tyler has your jock.

What's the matter Danny?

He's only allowed 17 goals in his last 3 games.

He'll be back shortly.

Like they said on CBC earlier in the year, "he's a Sens killer." lol

To "D" or not to "D".

I guess last night it was "not."

You could tell from the first Bruins shot of the game that he didn't have his nerves settled.

Solid game for Boston last night, but nothing to get too excited about considering who they played. Let's see if they can keep it going Saturday night against San Jose.

If history plays out again, he'll get about 5 goals in his next 30 games.

Just goes to show how much Reimer means to the team right now. Get Scrivens in as a backup and send Jonas back to Sveeden.

Agreed. I think that Carolina game may have been a wake-up call that got through to them. Sat night will be a good test.

The D wasn't good, but to not have the easy angles covered and to cough up rebounds the way he did was tough to watch. I just don't think the team plays with the same intensity they do in front of Jimmmy.
