Report: Iverson to host NBA player tourney

09:19 AM ET 10.22 | Former NBA All-Star Allen Iverson is hosting the Las Vegas Superstar Challenge on Nov. 12-13, sources told Yahoo! Sports. The tournament includes four teams with captains, including Iverson, who will recruit players for their respective teams. NBA All-Stars who could participate include Kevin Durant, Amare Stoudemire and Paul Pierce, sources said. Iverson is expected to announce the participants for all four teams in Las Vegas next week. The winner of the Nov. 12 games at Thomas & Mack Center will play in a championship game the next day.

Since playground basketball is what he's best suited for, Iverson should shine in this type of game. Get ready; rumors of "the comeback" will begin immediately after the game. Of course he was counting on that from the beginning.

HA HA HA HA HA. Iverson in the Hall of Fame would be a joke. All the guy can do is put up points and that was it. He never made his team or the players on the team better. This is how Iverson played. He would hold the ball and shoot. If he missed, his team mates better rebound that ball and give it right back to him.

Well, since it's Iverson's games, he can make up his own rules. Make half-court shots 4-pointers, and full court shots 5-pointers. Antoine Walker would jump at that.
