09:39 AM ET 10.22 | NASCAR on Friday confiscated the front windshields on three Sprint Cup Series teams fielded by Michael Waltrip Racing - the No. 00 driven by David Reutimann, the No. 47 driven by Bobby Labonte and the No. 56 driven by Martin Truex Jr. The windshields were taken for having unapproved modifications and were on display Friday outside the Cup series hauler.

Maybe Bowyer has leaked a few Childress secrets already. What kind of modification can they do to a windshield?

Whatever they did wasn't working. MRW had to know that the windshields wouldn't pass muster if the template didn't fit on their cars properly.

the way they explained it on qualifying was normally the top of the windshield has a lip where it meets the roof or what not, so they shaved it down to be smooth which would clearly give an aero advantage
