Berkman: Albert's better than Babe

Not exactly an incendiary fact here, is it?

Too bad he doesn't have their class. I'm surprised at Lance....Pujols will watch his HR's leave the yard but won't face the media when he commits an error. Kids look up to him and it would be nice of he could show them how to be humble and own up to one's mistakes.

Indeed, could anybody doubt Lance Berkman's expertise regarding Babe Ruth's hitting ability? And Ruth didn't even play for the Texas Rangers!

Pujols is better than Ruth? I know Berkman is old, but I had no idea he played with Ruth.

Berkman must be sampling some of the peyote in the lonstar state. Better than Jackson, no question and by a huge amount. Better than Ruth? Give me a break, the man should think before he opens his trap.

They need to test Berkman for drugs after that statement.

Reggie Jackson wasn't all that great a player, but he raked when it mattered most. He batted a career .262 and had a year below the Mendoza line.

Let's compare Pujols to Jackson at the end of Albert's career. There still may be a year or two close to the Mendoza line in his bag; loves breaking balls on the outside corner. Wait until reflexes begin to go downhill (they will, believe me). As to Berkman, it is obvious he did not enjoy his three months rental in the Bronx; I wouldn't either with his lousy hitting performance. Albert, sober, could not hit (or pitch) like a drunken Babe......

Considering I never saw Babe hit, Im not sure Im qualified to make that statement... Thats what the reply to Berkmans statemernt should be! But everyone knows he's pumping Pujols tires to keep him in St. Louis

Pujols is definately better than Reggie. Reggie hit .262 lifetime. As for the Babe, go look at his numbers. Pujols will be no where near them when he retires.

Ted Williams > Pujols

I'd love to see Pujols pitch a few innings. He has a hard time throwing accurately to home from first as it is.

Jackson's post season batting average was .278, nominally above his career average. Jackson is a blowhard that currently wanders the halls of Yankee Stadium teling people he's Mr. October.
