June probably wants a job at a BCS School but he already has a team going to a BCS Game. Why leave?

Just to play devil's advocate, because well, I'm bored, if he goes to a BCS school he won't need to turn in undefeated seasons just to get to a bcs bowl, he would just have to be in the top 13...So that might be an adavantage to leaving....

Just in!

SMU interested in joe paterno! LOL

why don't they just take out a Wanted ad like Duke. or hire some young DIII coach.

they act like SMU is a big time program. Who cares what SMU wants. Hawaii is a better job anyways.

All the money-whipping in the world, as local boy Dan Jenkins might say, hasn't done SMU much good since the death penalty days.
June, you've got a job most of us would kill for. Unless both the money and the situation are right, stay.

...there's always Nieuheisel...

Why would he leave Hawaii? And of all places...SMU...its not like this program is going anywhere.....

With Bo Mitchell coming in, why would he leave? He hasn't even reaped the benefits of making it to a BCS game yet, in terms of recruiting. Hawaii will be loaded next year, and they are gonna put a whuppin on Georgia day after tomorrow.

Wait till next September when they take on Tebow; you southern boys will know all about Hawaii then.

SMU??? Wasn't that the program that got the death penalty for repeated violations? Why on earth would Jones want THAT job?

Having lived in both Dallas and Honolulu, I don't have to tell you which place is the better place; climate, food, scenery, people, beaches........
