06:47 AM ET 10.26 | The relationship between Manchester City and forward Carlos Tevez has deteriorated further after the club fined the striker $1.5M for refusing to play against Bayern Munich. In response, the Argentina international has threatened to sue City manager Roberto Mancini for defamation of character. City handed Tevez a record four-week fine plus a two-week suspension following the completion of a lengthy disciplinary hearing that found Tevez had been guilty of misconduct.

Tevez needs to stop acting like a whinny baby and play for his $1.6M a MONTH! Jeez, for $1.6M a YEAR I would do whatever the manager asked me to do, including wash his car and pick up his laundry. These professional athletes need to start acting like professionals.

Oh and as far as defamation of character, that should be an easy win for Mancini. Tevez has proven with his leveraged departure from West Ham and his hired mercenary arrival in Man City from ManU that he has no character to defame.

Is there an SNL-like sketch comedy in England? I hope they are having a field day with this whole situation.

and by the way, City may want to sell Tevez in Jan. if they really want to have a serious look at winning the league. I don't think they will want to be dealing with this come March and April... they won't want the focus to STILL be on when Tevez will or won't play again.

Who knows, maybe the team would want the focus on Tevez. Keeps the focus off of them being in first and let's them concentrate on winning.

Halloween costumes. Who's dressing up as what.
I am going to a Scandal-themed party. Dressing up as Elian Gonzales. Basically a baseball tee with Gonzales written on the back, carrying around a Cuban flag and being in a box.

I can't fathom how Mancini's word has suddenly become gospel. Rewind just a few months and while everyone agreed that Tevez was a merc and an *******, the general consensus was that almost everyone would take him on their team if the price is right.
Let's compare that with Mancini, also someone who is very good at what he does, but a complete ****. Is hired on at Fiorentina, knowing full well the financial status of the squad. Has a difficult go of it for sure, but ultimately quits with the team in relegation territory (they ultimately do go down). Goes to Lazio, another cash strapped squad and has a successful season only to leave for greener pastures at Inter. Again, a difficult gig to be sure, but also opted for the bigger, more financially sound option (sound familiar? **** you, see above).
Gets fired at Inter, and with Manuel Pellegrini doing a good job at Madrid, but perpetually on the block because he was never Flor's first choice, Mancini openly campaigns for Pellegrini's job, stating that he could take the team to places the current manager could not.
Fast forward to present day. This entire deal hinges on the word of Mancini????

No one finds it the slightest bit peculiar that not a single player or coach employed by City has come out and said a single negative word about Carlito? Put aside all of the City merc jokes and everyone HONESTLY believes that none of these guys has any desire to win and they're all in it for the paycheck? Because you'd have to in order to accept that Carlito refused to go in to a UCL match and it didn't piss a single person off enough to say a word...
