08:21 AM ET 10.26 | John Tortorella says he's not interested in dissecting the Rangers just yet. [But] the Rangers coach provided an accurate summary of his team's 3-2-2 start on the road. "We score a couple, we're ugly as [heck], and our goaltending has certainly given us an opportunity right on through here," Tortorella said. ... [The players] Tortorella hopes will do something are Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik, and the Rangers coach knows the play of his top forwards has everything to do with his team's ability to sustain success through 82 games. Monday, while Richards' drew the tripping penalty that led to his team's first goal, the big-money center was completely neutralized offensively. Gaborik glided around the ice but was ineffective, leading Tortorella to play him just 3:03 in the third period.

Fire Torts. Now he is messing with my Fantasy team, the b______tard.

I hope they figure it out before tomorrow.

fantasy teams are nothing but Dungeons and Dragons for sports geeks. Either be a fan or don't

I knew it. None of the players on the Rangers are any good. All of 'em lazy, can't get 'em out of the tub and on the ice. Never try to win, smoke cigars with Sather and won't pracrice. Thank God Torts is there. Probably have a wing in the Hall of Fame just for him. Don't believe me? Ask him.

Errr, OK. I suppose next you are going to tell me that the sumo player game between periods is dumb, and using a Thrasher head blowing out 500 degree flames every time you score is not cool.

I hope he does too. But I guess ugly or not, a win is a win. I just wish he'd be more patient with the lines. They have no time to gel
Dubi/Callahan/Stepan
Ricards/Gaborik/Anisimov
should be left alone

Connolly will debut and promptly either a) Score a hat trick and infuriate Torts some more, or b) Get hurt again, be replaced on the top line by Bozak, who will proceed to feed Kessel for a hat trick, and infuriate Torts some more.

Clearly it will be "b".

I knew not of these things but now that I do, yes, i will say they're not cool.

Or c) Connolly gets hurt when Celine skates into him and Kessel disappears for 14 games.

Has Brad Richards started regretting his switch from Dallas yet?

You wish. Rags will be fine.

Both have played pretty well so far. Stepan should drop down to the second line to center Dubi and Cally, although Dubi could play center too. I'd like to see Anisimov on the top line to try to jump start him

I hate Torts....wish he would just go away.

I agree. I saw some good things in the Winn. game

And heres a quote from Torts..The truth, as explained by the Rangers coach when queried well after the match had ended, is that Gaborik played only 3:03 on four shifts in the third because the Rangers spent so much time hemmed in their own end.

That limited the opportunity to get the sniper ice because it was necessary to allot more time to checking-oriented players.

???It was not a benching,??? Tortorella said. ???Gabby has probably been our most consistent forward.???

Not surprised at the crappy journalism from the post.

Does Celine survive this scenario?

Yes but Burkie puts him on IR because his feelings are hurt.

Talk about your fantasy teams.
