08:03 AM ET 10.26 | A pair of ex-coaches who made the transition to television might be interested in transitioning back to the sidelines. As the winless Dolphins prepare to start another coaching search -- with their eyes apparently on former Super Bowl-winning coaches Bill Cowher and Jon Gruden -- Miami fans should be aware that the feeling is mutual. Both Cowher and Gruden have quietly planted seeds that they would like to return to coaching and are more than open to listening to an offer from Miami owner Stephen Ross. According to two sources in and around the team, former Dolphins quarterback and current CBS studio analyst Dan Marino has been telling Dolphins management that Cowher, an analyst partner, is geared up for a return.

Might as well head to where expectations will be low.

Cowher will not take any offer from Miami....he would want a chance to win and Miami doesn't offer that....there are other places that he already has ties to that also give him a better chance to win

Take Gruden please.
Get him the hell off MNF.
Canuck eh?

Gruden just signed a five-year extension on MNF. That doesn't sound like a man eager to get back coaching.

This only means they both will be coaching again next year.

If I were Tony Sparano, I'd be thrilled at the prospect of getting out of this dysfunctional franchise.

I agree wit you. They can return anytime they want and I thought Gruden just signed a new deal to keep doing what he is doing. Parcells got the he## out of there, I am sure they will call him first to find out what the place is really like.

Morning all, I doubt Cowher will take it.

The weather's nice. He's near the beach. Nobody in the organization seems to care about winning, so there's no pressure to succeed except from the fans, who've been ignored for years anyway. Sounds like a permanent vacation in Miami to me.

The only way either of them is coming back is to take a serious contender. Let's face it they both got all the money they are ever going to need so the only real incentive is another ring, and that ain't going to happen in Miami

I'd be surprised if he Gruden didn't have some sort of opt-out clause that allowed him to leave ESPN if he was made an offer he could not refuse. I doubt Miami would be that job.

I agree - Miami doesn't seem to be a fit for Cowher.

Don't hold your breath. Miami might have to put an add in the help wanted section to get their next coach
