Keeping up with Jones impossible at Kentucky scrimmage

08:18 AM ET 10.28 | Maybe John Calipari was right about Terrence Jones. Kentucky's Blue-White basketball scrimmage could have been billed as the Terrence Jones Pre-season Showcase Wednesday night. ... The Blue-White hoopalooza gave a glimpse of the beast the 6-foot-9, 250-pound Jones has become. It was just a scrimmage and Jones was going against freshmen defenders, but his numbers were jaw-dropping -- 52 points (26 in each half), 24-for-31 shooting, 16 rebounds and six assists -- as he led the Blues to a 126-104 victory in front of 12,134 fans. Anthony Davis, a 6-10 freshman, had the unenviable task of defending Jones most of the first half. Kyle Wiltjer, a 6-9 freshman, had no better luck. It was no contest as Jones, looking quicker and more explosive than last season, attacked the rim for an assortment of dunks and finger-roll layups.

Yeah, a lot of errors and a Ranger loss. As much as I'm a Cardie bird fan, I also root for the little guy. In this case the little guy is the one that doesn't have a World Series championship...and that's the Rangers. There is a part of me that would like to see them get one.

If it would have ended wit the Hamilton hr, it would have been a storybook ending. I hate managers who try to over manage
