09:36 AM ET 10.30 | Long-suffering Cubs fans should like the Theo Epstein years. Traditionalists who want to see Wrigley Field left alone probably will not. "I wouldn't look for that old scoreboard to be sitting on top of the center-field bleachers for many more years,'' the general manager said. "There's $20 million (a year) sitting up there if they put up a giant Jumbotron. I know people are attached to tradition, to that scoreboard, but is taking it down any bigger change than putting seats on top of the Green Monster?

So long as he keeps the stale urine smell, Cubs fans will accept it.

Like what, cover the bricks with some 3/4" plywood? Cut the vines and put a cactus here and there? OK, I guess it is worth a try.

since he has become the cubs president, he has the freedom in making any changes in any adnormal area in the stadium, could epstein increase the income in this ballpark?

A beer garden within a bigger beer garden. How about that! I guess I, too, would rather tackle the planning for Wrigley Field than planning the Cubbie roster for next year.

epstein will have to use every corner in this stadium to earn more money to be able to adsorbe all those big contracts that are waiting in the table,,,

Hey, he won two titles with it.

He might want to pay a little more attention to the product on the field. Three years from now, if the only thing he can say is they've increased revenue by $50 million, but haven't climbed above third place, watch out.

if changes are needed to make the franchise better then he should do it, if this type of prosses will increase the credibility for the team then he should go on with his plans set in mind!!

i think theo's plan its to cover every gate every corner every area in the franchise goal, but yes he does need to take care several points first, epstein goal its a championship in either way!!

Blow moron!!!

We need less focus on scoreboards and such from Theo Einstein, and more focus on moving Marshall into the staring rotation and signing some left handed bats with some pop( Prince Fielder is available I hear).

... and for the uninitiated, that scoreboard is part pf the Wrigley Field history - strike one to you Theo Einstein if you choose to much with the scoreboard!!! Your first move out of the gate shouldn't be to alienate your fan base, you friggen' DB!!!
