10:07 AM ET 10.30 | USC and Stanford played a game for the ages on Saturday with a triple-overtime finish that preserved the Cardinal's national title hopes and denied Trojans coach Lane Kiffin the biggest victory of his career. Kiffin was livid with officials after the game for saying wide receiver Robert Woods did not get out of bounds on the last play of regulation before time expired. "I'm really disappointed in the officials," he said. "Extremely disappointed. ... I had asked for a timeout with one second left before the play. We could have kicked a 50-yard field goal to win the game. I'm not complaining. I'm just giving you the exact facts."

Sorry coach. There is always a lag time between the point in time that a timeout is requested and the point in time in which it is granted. That one doesn't fly coach. Human delay.

Ask Nebraska fans about 1 second left....Your not complaining....It only sound like it...

Counld not have happened to a nicer guy or a cleaner program.

They reviewed that. It was a pretty busy one second but I don't see that there's anything to complain about - the play shaved it too close to the gun.

And oh ya it's probably Texas' fault....

Good point, one second is a blink of the eyes. I know LK wanted a chance for a FG, but regardless it was a great game.

Not very often we get to see a triple overtime....

Yeah you can't put the blame on the officials for this one second.

A.) They got it right

B.) Officials miss calls all of the time. It's part of the game. Most teams have calls that favor them and calls that hurt them every game.

C.) I didn't see you complain when they missed an obvious holding call on one of your scoring drives.

D.) Great game. Don't mess it up by crying now.

Why run a play in that situation to the middle of the field to begin with?

Someone was channeling Jabba on the USC sideline?

Good point, the pass to Woods only went 7 yards, had it been a first down, then the clock would have stopped at one second and then USC could (coulda, shoulda, woulda) have called a time out.

I would have to say Kiffin is right because the fix was in. Stanford is ranked higher in the polls which means a better bowl game which means more money for everyone in the conference. It's all about the money.

Totally agree.
