08:15 AM ET 10.31 | Even a day later, Lane Kiffin remained critical of Saturday's officiating. Kiffin said Sunday he already had contacted Pac-12 Conference officials, including a phone call from the locker room to a person he declined to identify "to express what happened and how I was basically lied to." Kiffin reiterated that side judge Brad Glenn informed him that USC would be granted a timeout if replays showed that receiver Robert Woods' knee was down with one second left in regulation. In that event, the Trojans would have been able to attempt a 50-yard field goal to try to win. Replays did show that Woods' knee was down with a second to go, but referee Michael Batlan announced that time would have expired regardless.

I don't believe for a minute that the SJ told him that. Besides, he needed to hear it from the ref wearing the white hat. Get over it Lame Kitten, stop the whining and grow up... you have a big boy's job.

what's new about coaches mismanaging the clock and then blaming officials for it? LK should have watched the Wisconsin MI State game for what his other option was. if he wanted a FG, then Woods needed to take a knee in the middle of the field after he caught the ball and immediately call timeout. you can't get a timeout while the ball is still live. I love SC, but Kiffin is showing a lack of class with this complaining.

When has little Kiffin ever showed class?

Yep. Woods had an uncharacteristically bad game day. He should have known to do that anyway. Bad timing to have a so-so game. heh hehSTILL ... they still had other chances to win the game. But they didn't take advantage of them.

He's still one of the better receivers in CFB IMHO. If not the best.

How 'bout being mad at the BCS for moving Standord UP instead of down in the polls where they belong. To beat an unranked team in triple overtime is NOT impressive. We need a playoff system to prove Boise State can beat the pretenders like Alabama and Stanford.
