08:18 AM ET 10.31 | Despite Columbus' second win Sunday, few seem safe. Sources indicated to The Dispatch late Saturday that the Blue Jackets have begun preparing for the possible firing of general manager Scott Howson and coach Scott Arniel should the horrendous start not get turned around quickly. Club president Mike Priest vehemently denied reports that he had discussed a return to coaching by former Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock, or that he had reached out to former NHL executive and current broadcaster Craig Button as a potential GM candidate. But he also allowed that any change would be spearheaded by majority owner John P. McConnell. "Let me be clear here, though," Priest said. "Everybody understands that the losing can???t continue."

Pack up your office guys. I don't see them go on a win streak any time soon.

And if this new staff can't getter done, do they FINALLY blow it all up? I mean, the Phil Kessel trade could easily have been the Rick Nash trade, and lord knows Columbus needed a young star centre far worse than Boston did.

Come home Nash.

Demand a trade out of the dump that is Columbus.

Demand a trade to a Canadian team. Maybe one on the East Coast, in Ontario, that wears Blue.

DO IT!

Kadri, Colborne, Schenn, Biggs, Scrivens for Nash!

That is four past 1st round picks, plus a decent goalie for Nash. That is a fair trade.

I'm not even trying to be a homer and do something like Komi for Nash...

You're right. They got a temporary stay of execution with those two recent wins. But .... the writing is on the wall.

Make room for Hitch!

Make lots of room for Hitch. The guy doesn't look as if he's missed a lot of meals since the last time I saw him.

Nice to dream, isn't it Argo? But, who knows? BB might decide to throw a 1st round pick or two into the mix and get it done.

Hey, when you get paid for doing nothing, what else is there to do but to keep buffeting your body every day? Jay Feaster is jealous.

If Columbus put him behind the bench they'd have to remove a row of seats.

You think Komisarek for Nash is a even up trade, are you serious. Komisarek is a stiff at best. Nash at least has some talent and on a good team would be even better.
