Best as a Lions fan I would rather you consider your health and at the very least sit out the rest of the year and then re-evaluate the issue of coming back next year. Protect yourself bro....

As much as I wanted to see him succeed in the Pro's I'd have to agree with you.

Too bad as was the best runner they have had the last 3 or 4 years. A real dry spell for a team known for good runners, Owens, Farr, Saunders.

Yeah, Best is done. I know he doesn't want to accept it, but retiring is better than the alternative. Manning needs to hang up his cleats as well.

Went the Lions picked Best in the draft, the analyst were saying he had a propensity towards injuries in college and why he was available in the second round. ONe of those talented guys but hurt often types.

Now he has had his third concussion in two years and had several in college, he has some big decisions to make. I would guess that he's been told that if he comes back and has another he may not be cleared to play again. There has to be some responsibility on the medical teams side of this equation as well. When is enough, enough.

I agree. I would be shocked if Manning can come back and be effective. I would be more shocked if he has any real mobility in his neck motion.

Ya and take China Doll Stafford with you. I mean this guy is an accident waiting to happen. Saw him looking down feild and when he saw the pass rush he just stood their and let the defensive end hit him square. A DUH. You could duck, run away, turn sideways to try and avoid the hit.
