08:01 AM ET 11.02 | Opponents have reason to fear San Francisco. The 49ers aren't just stopping opposing running backs this year. They're sending them to the X-ray room. The Browns, for example, signed one-time 49ers running back Thomas Clayton today after Montario Hardesty was diagnosed with a partial calf tear suffered early in Sunday's loss to San Francisco. Hardesty joins a list of runners, including the Cowboys' Felix Jones, the Buccaneers' LeGarrette Blount and the Lions' Jahvid Best (concussion) who have been injured while playing the 49ers. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, of course, also suffered a fractured rib and a deflated lung when he was struck by Ahmad Brooks in the first quarter of Week 2.

Wow, one of the 49ers tore the dude's calf. Did he rip it completely into two pieces, or did he let the poor guy off easy and just tear it a little bit?

They must use some serious pain killers in the NFL.....

They DO!

If that's the case, Commissioner Goodell should crack down on them , they are playing too rough and hurting people, can't have that in the NFL.

They should be forced to wear dresses.

Actually, they rank 10th overall: first against the rush and 21st against the pass. Impressive but to me... they don't hold a candle to Baltimore
