Raiders enjoy easiest path to AFC West title

08:03 AM ET 11.02 | The Raiders had good reason to delight in Philip Rivers fumbling away a San Diego victory Monday night. They had to figure that catastrophic error would doom the Chargers, who were not going to win in Kansas City, in overtime, on Halloween night, against the energized Chiefs. That would mean, for the Raiders, a share of first place. Oakland couldn't have wished for a better outcome than Kansas City's victory in OT, creating a three-way tie atop the AFC West. The Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders each approach the halfway point of the season with 4-3 records. The Raiders, though, have the easiest path to the division title.

Nothing is easy when you change QBs in the middle of a season. Everyone is hoping that Palmer is the second coming of Plunkett. We'll see.

The Saints probably thought they had it pretty easy going into this past week, too. Look where that got them.

I hate you east coast people and your 0800 conference calls.

You're such a ray of sunshine in the morning they just can't wait to talk to you.

Except they still don't know what they have at QB and their top running back is hurt. Other than that, it's a breeze.

Must be a slow news day...

Easy schedule? Who the hell is playing QB for the Raiders? Don't say Carson palmer.

We're in our fourth freakin' day of no freakin' power at home. I hate you west coast people who have hot water and don't have to brush your teeth by flashlight.

But, you're right. The clown who scheduled that should be invited to your next 3 PM call-in so he can do that instead of have dinner.

I think you've hit on the problem. Perhaps someone from the Raiders will read this and figure out what's wrong with their team.

Bay Area News Group? BANG. Sounds appropriate for Oakland.

You've nothing to complain about it's only 3 hours for you, try it with a 12 hour difference

We need to out-source more of our conference calls.
