08:30 AM ET 11.03 | There's no secret any longer to what might be ailing Nathan Horton. [Horton], in a remarkably candid interview after practice [Wednesday] at the Garden, admitted that he has found it difficult -- not physically, but mentally -- bouncing back from the horrific head injury he suffered in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup final. "I'm still trying to get my game back," Horton said, who has 2-3-5 totals and is a minus-3 in 11 games. ... "I obviously don't feel 100 percent out there," he said. "I'm not myself, you know? I'm just trying to get that back. Last game, I thought we played better. Hopefully we can build off it. Obviously I just need to get my timing and stuff. I still don't feel like I'm myself out there."

So if he is still complaining about the effects of the concussion...why are the Bruins even playing him?
Or has he been watching too many Bryz post-game interviews?

November 3, 2011  09:15 AM ET

I knew the Bruins would be in trouble when they shipped off Kabby. ;-)

It's got to be hard to put something like that out of your mind when you are playing. I hope he can get back to 100%.

P.A.W = Penalty. Assist. Win.
A Ron Hextall hat-trick.

Agreed...so not to change the subject...but how about that PAW the MONSTER put up last night?

Has as many points as Scott Gomez and Krejci.

By the way:

NHL player of the month - Phil Kessel
AHL player of the month - Joe Colborne

Thank You Boston!

I agree, while we all know that hard hits are part of the game, thinking that another one like that could come has got to worry you for a bit

Makes one wonder how Sid will respond...

In less games too.:-)

Maybe not Gomez...didn't look.

I've never heard of a Ron Hextall hat trick, but I like the idea.

What, to me, was more surprising was a hat trick by Lupul :)

Yea, I'd be looking over my shoulder a lot.

I just invented it...seems appropriate and hope it catches on.

Lupul shouldn't surprise you too much...he's been great so far. What is a surpise, is Kuleman. Could be good trade bait if he doesn't pick it up soon. Surprising me is Komi with a plus 5. The terrible PK should improve once we get our BEST penalty killer back between the pipes. Bloody awful so far.

As players should be doing anyways...that's why hitting is such an intregal part of the game and should be encouraged...
I wonder what response Shanny would have if a previously concussed player gets hit again with a similar result...Would he give a heavier suspension even if it was the the hitter's first offense?

Sid will be in the LaFontaine boat when he come backs - likely one hard hit away from having to hang them up.

who's to say, but I know this, at least there is some semblence of reason behind Shanny's decision making compared to Colon's disipline

If the player was previously concussed and the hitter had no previous record...then the punishment SHOULD be the same...but you're right. It remains to be seen.
As far as semblence of reason...I not so sure Reimer would agree with that stance nor would I. I think that Shanny has backed off quite a bit since the pre-season or was told to.
We'll see.
