08:08 AM ET 11.04 | When do Knicks fans begin daring to dream? New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul has been spending a good amount of time in New York City these days. As NBPA vice president, he's been present at several labor meetings and he's been palling around with his good friend Carmelo Anthony, like at Melo's M8 sneaker launch party in mid-October. Not only has Paul been alongside Anthony in NYC, they've been teaming up on the court at various charity and exhibition games. While the All-Star-like showcases haven't been competitive NBA regular-season games, they've offered a glimpse into how good the pair can really be on the main stage together, utilizing the pick-and-roll, backdoor cuts and alley-oops.

When do Knicks fans begin daring to dream

Ha! Ha! All Brick fans do is dream. Didn't LeFlake teach them anything? A better question would be, "when do Brick fans wake up?" Every available free agent for the last 3 years has been "rumored" to be headed to Zoo York. One day they will accept that everybody isn't interested in joining the circus.

well there was a reason he was stomping his foot when talks started about the cap level.

Smart knicks fans would want to have howard complete the big 3...

I'll take him, but rather have Howard. Howard is the key to the championship period.

Just for clarification.....I do NOT want paul.....I want a big that can play defenseAnd secondly, there has been only one guy that didn't come ....lbj.....not 'every FA'And we did get the #1 PF on the market (at the time)in amare and the ##1 pg on the market (at that time) to come.....so I don't understand the ignorant commentNy also pilfered denver with a bunch of bench players to acquire meloThough I personally don't like the amare, melo mix......That's the way management chose to go, so us fans get behind themNy is actually relevant in basketball for the first time in 10 years.I'm happy

You got sloppy 2ND's. Amare came because noone else was interested in giving him that contract. Don't fool yourself, you are better than you have been, but you are not relevant. You made the playoffs for the 1ST time in forever, and were a 1ST round knockout. You are probably looking at a similiar fate this year. Considering where you came from, I can see why you would call it relevant--you're excused.

"Imagine" is about all the fans can do until these clowns settle their differences and get back to work.

50 players are now threatening to de-certify and go to court... yeah... that should really help.

See you guys in 2015.

Exactly what's relevant in Columbus, OH?........Certainly not Ohio State, they are an afterthought. With all your hate for us Knicks fans, it undeniable that you're talkin Knicks and will be for some time pal.

Judging from your comments, you obviously assume I'm a Buckeye fan....NOT! I hate them more than the Bricks. I don't really hate the Bricks. I just totaly disagree with managements' choices, on and off the court. Fans like you however make it easy to root against them.

Baby steps, Hllywood... baby steps!

if NY got a guy like Paul... maybe they make it to the next round. After a year together... maybe the conf round. NY isn't that far off. They need a better mix of vets and rookies. But I wouldn't just dismiss them as irrelevant anymore.

Like the attitude. If you guys get him and we get DHoward or vice versa, I'll be good with it...Together we can keep LeBlowjob ringless!

Howard is coming to Boston. He doesn't want to win in LA... he wants to destroy LA... and where better to do that and get into the history books as well as win a championship.

Howard defeats LA... Boston gets 18!!! I can see the headlines now...

There are just too many pieces missing. No center, no bench, and no coaching. I think they could land Paul and Howard, and ?'Antoni (the 'D' is silent) would find a way to screw it up.
