Comeau heating up as trade target

08:29 AM ET 11.04 | On the surface, the Islanders are doing enough to win games, taking 34 shots on net and having another 33 blocked or shot wide in Thursday's loss -- their sixth in as many games. Josh Bailey, Blake Comeau and Brian Rolston totaled seven shots on goal and created plenty of chances, but the line has produced zero even-strength points as a trio. ... With 10 NHL scouts scattered around the press box -- Comeau, on a one-year, $2.3-million contract, would be the likeliest trade target, even though the season isn't even a month old -- the line continued to play hard but out of sync. "It's tough to get too, too down, because you know there are opportunities," Bailey said. "We need to get results."

THE LEAFS ARE IN 1ST IN THE ENTIRE NHL!!!!!

I'm hijacking this thread and turning it into the Leafs are in 1st thread, seeing how the dummies couldn't figure out that that was the biggest hockey story. ;)

Who thinks Nash is still regretting not coming to the Blue & White now? I do.

The Jackets need to blow it up, and start fresh. Trade Carter, trade Nash, trade everyone of any value.

But then again, if the Jackets trade everyone and get a high draft pick, they will just blow it like always. No team has more high draft busts than the Jackets.

I'm sticking to this:

Schenn, Kadri, Colborne, Biggs, Mike Komisarek & Scrivens to the Jackets
Rick Nash to the Leafs.

This is actually a pretty fair trade for Columbus.

Speaking of Scrivens, wasn't he great last night?

I wanted him to be the backup over the Monster, but understand why he isn't (needed playing time, & is on a 2-way deal). But he should have played before last night, while Reimer has been out.

I kinda already knew this before last night (based on his play in the minors last year & great pre-season), but it is nice to know that the Leafs have goaltending depth and some insurance on Reimer if anything ever happens.

Argos cares. Danny L does.

Come to think of it, we all do but, in a different kind of way.

Outside of Taveres all their youth isn't doing what they did last year. Either they believed the little hype they read about themselves or last year was a mirage.

The Pirates were first in their division on July first and near the bottom by July 31st. Save it for March Argos.

They have played more road games than home games...our hic-up...I mean back-up has played more than our starter...we have the worst PK in the NHL...we have Wilson...we are in first place...The Oilers are ripping it up too...go canada...
