Guilty by association? Scott should fire him before Williams does real damage to his reputation. And in a perfect world all the top pros wouldn't touch Williams with a ten-foot pole (or a long putter). Williams would then have to take a job carrying the bag of a guy at the bottom of the money. Let's see how well he caddies then.

Scott won't keep Williams around.

Scott isn't a racist. It may be a poor decision to keep Williams but it's his decision. And kiss the ground tiger walks on... WHY? There isn't a player on tour that respects tiger after his scandal. Tiger is a joke! We will likely never see a talent like tiger screw his life up as he's done, again. And his mistakes have killed his game. I'm not a big fan of Adam Scott but he owes woods nothing and right now is a much better player.

That's why Dustin Johnson's caddy joined Eldrick...DJ was making him too much cash. All he really wanted was the ladies...

Calm down, everyone. Scott will dump Williams within the week once he realizes that he'll be guilty by association, regardless of whether the comment was racist or not. Williams is a hot potato that no one with any amount of class would want to be associated with after this.

To say that Williams, who by all accounts had a very close friendship with Woods for many years, is racist seems silly to me. Does Williams now hate Woods? It seems clear that he does. Does he hate Woods because he is black--that's a real stretch. It seems more likely that he feels their friendship and his loyalty were betrayed. When you use the color of one's skin in a disparaging comment, it is, always has, and always will be considered racist! The relationship they once had has nothing to do with it. When someone makes a comment like that, they insert race into it for negative effect. If you don't consider that racist, perhaps you need to reassess your own beliefs.
