Lewis facing fine after Ward's concussion-like symptoms

08:04 AM ET 11.07 | Some Steelers fans may wake up Monday feeling as if their team was robbed. They didn't like that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis wasn't called for a helmet-to-helmet hit that knocked wide receiver Hines Ward out of the game early in the second quarter with concussion-like symptoms. (Look for Lewis to be fined by the NFL this week.) They didn't like that Steelers safety Ryan Clark was penalized 15 yards for hitting "defenseless" tight end Ed Dickson late in the second quarter, a call that led to a Ravens field goal. (That one was questionable.) And they really didn't like a pass interference penalty against Steelers cornerback Ike Taylor late in the third quarter that set up a Ravens touchdown. (I didn't see any interference.)

WaWa,
well it does come from the Pittsburgh press so you have to expect that; great game from where I was sitting, great finish from Eli and Flacco to close the last two games of the day. Hope for fireworks in Philly/Bears tonight.

That wasn't a dirty hit. Plus, what about all of the dirty hits Ward delivers?

The head to head wasn't intentional. Heck, at the speed these guys play, it's pretty hard not to lift your head a little. Still, it was a pretty exciting game. I'm sure Goodell will do whatever he can to reign in the excitement factor.

If you want excitement you will need to check out the Lingerie League.

I agree totally

And do they think this penalty being enforced would've helped their cause?

I don't think Uncle Ray Ray is worried about a funky fine, for a hit on Ward.

It's the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Read the Baltimore Sun if you want unbiased. (That's sarcasm.)

The other penalties don't really matter. The Ravens had a bunch of big plays that were called back, too.

It doesn't matter if it's intentional or not. Clark didn't intentionally hit anyone, either. It's still a penalty.

I think Roger Goodell prefers the Lads-in-Leather League.

Does it really matter??? Mike Tomlin was the reason why the Steeler's lost that game.

lot of bad calls in that game, Bottom line, Steelers D let Flacco drive 92 yds for game winning TD. It was an awesome game both teams played there hearts out.

I wondered about that non-call on Lewis. Thought it might have been more because of Ward's reputation than anything else. The other calls looked good to me.

The bottom line is the Steelers had a 4 point lead with less than 3 minutes on the clock and the Ravens were on their own 8 yard line. Defense just couldn't get it done when it counted the most.

I'll agree with you there. There were some real head scratchers that went for and against both teams.

Typical game between the two.

Goodell will find plenty to abscond money from.

Thats Ray........and Hines got a dose of his own medicine,I've seen more intentional hits that don't get fined
