08:17 AM ET 11.07 | Following another win this past weekend at Washington, Oregon hasn't lost a conference game since 2009 -- in a 51-42 shootout loss to Stanford, setting up a nice Saturday showdown. The Cardinal, fourth in the most recent BCS Standings, is very much in the [national championship] picture. The Ducks, slotted No. 7 by the BCS, are longshots. A loss would extinguish any hope. ... The game within the game could feature a ferocious Oregon pass rush attempting to zero in on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, the Heisman favorite. Oregon is tied for No. 6 nationally in sacks with an average of 3.22 per game. The Ducks teed off on Washington's Keith Price, sacking him six times. Five different players got in on the fun.

Sounds strange doesn't it.

Anything alluding to defense being connected to Oregon is an oxymoron...like honest lawyer!

Stanford's O'Line is huge and experienced. They will get to Luck but he's still going to shred Oregons defense. This definitly won't be a LSU vs Bama repeat.

Oregon may be the litmus test for Luck's Heisman aspirations.

I don't think Stanford's defense is very good either. Could be wrong though.

Well, duh, of course not. Neither of these teams play defense.....They are in the 12PAC

Yeah, Arkansas belongs in the 12PAC as they are the only SEC team that has an offense....

...and they don't play SEC defense so they should be kicked out.

...but they'll feel better next year when Aggie and Mizzou look the same

...they won't be the lone red headed step child anymore.

Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas... seems to me the Big12 has taken over the no-defense league title. Oregon did hold LSU to 330 yards this year, by the way, not all that bad.

Can't you just picture the sec meetings, with the AD's of these stepchildren stuck at the small table in the back of the room
