Balotelli says he's not crazy

08:18 AM ET 11.10 | Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli has insisted he is not "crazy" and finds it annoying that his off-field antics achieve far greater media coverage than performances on the pitch. "The Premier League has taught me to run a lot," said Balotelli. "To go for the ball and when I lose it to press to recover it. Now I have more playing time and this gives me more confidence. (Italy coach Cesare) Prandelli and (Manchester City manager Roberto) Mancini have helped me a lot, giving me the necessary calmness to play, something I didn't have previously."

Happy Birthday to the Marine Corps

My Grandfather was a Marine.... so in his honor:

From the Halls of Montezuma,
To the shores of Tripoli;
We fight our country's battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean:
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.

I'm biased. I grew up in Pennsylvania, rooting for Penn State on Saturdays in the fall.

As terrible as this episode is.... as poor as his judgement has appeared to be.... I think JoePa earned the opportunity to at least finish out the season. Disagree with me all you want.... I understand your perspective, and even agree to a point.... but that's the way I feel about it.

I'm pretty sure if it was Sir Alex, they will let him finish out the season in the EPL...just saying.

I have no sympathy for him. He got to live a charmed life doing what he loved while getting paid millions to do it. Those kids that got raped while he did nothing never go that chance.
Missing a few games at the end of his career is nothing compared with the hell himself and those others put those kids thru. He still comes out way ahead.

They stole this T&R from J11's comments.

We don't know what was/wasn't told to Paterno by McQueary. I'm not condoning how Paterno handled it, in any way. But remember that we're talking about a guy that Paterno knew, for 25+ years at that point, to be a decent, charitable, church-going man. He had a lot of people fooled.... and leveraged his goodwill and position to horrible effect.
