08:20 AM ET 11.11 | So far, so good for William Buford, who has a chance to score more points than any basketball player in Ohio State history. He starts his senior season, however, changed by the shots he missed in the last game of his junior year. Buford, a 46 percent shooter, was 2-for-16 from the field, including missing a final desperate 3-pointer, in the Buckeyes' 62-60 season-ending upset loss to Kentucky in the Sweet 16 last season. "I don't think anybody wanted William to make a shot more than I did, just to get him going," OSU coach Thad Matta said. ... Asked if he has been happy with his career, Buford said: "Yeah, except for my last game. Other than that. "That game was terrible."

That's great, Buford, just great. Just don't screw the pooch again this year. I don't want to have to lose another bet to 0-6.<grumble, grumble>

I forgot about that. He did cost you, huh HM?

Hmmm....he was on a team loaded with shooters last year and still decided to shoot all the time because he wanted some of the glory too. Now that he's considered one of the "leaders" on the team that means he'll shoot it every time he gets the ball. Everyone else in that game was shooting much better but Buford just had to be a hero. Every time OSU would go on a run, Buford would shoot them out of it. If that's what he means by stepping up, as an OSU fan, I'd rather he step off the floor.
