Zetterberg on Tampa Bay's trap: 'Hilarious'

Implying that those who play that way don't have skills...

The Flyers are stupid. Come up with a way to beat the trap, don't pout and just stand there.

I'll agree with the first part, but the Flyers didn't freeze the puck. Tampa could have come to get it any time they wanted.

I am NOT giving this topic a second day of life. I hope Tampa plays the trap all season, bores the hell out of the few fans they have so they stop showing up, and they move the team to Hamilton.

Hell, the trap very well may wind up saving hockey after all!

jee wizz, i thought it was just us whiny Flyer fans that had a beef with TB's 0-4-1 style. This must be a misprint or something.

It's been pointed out before...it's like telling an NFL defense you can't play prevent. There are ways to beat any defense, the trap included. When you get past it about 3 times the opposing coach is going to change his defensive scheme in a hurry. Quit crying and concentrate on a solution....you're supposed to be professionals for God's sake.

100 % Agreed. One day of this regardless of what side one was on was enough. If we are lucky a certain new "Tool" that emerged in the pack yesterday will now go back to whatever litter box he came out of.

NHL behind the times of Euro hockey.

Good for the Flyers. The Pens did that also during the playoffs but it wasn't as long and play didn't get stopped. You can trap and still pursue the puck.
