08:36 AM ET 11.12 | John Beck took over as starting quarterback for the Washington Redskins three weeks ago, but given his performance the last couple of games, is he on a shorter leash this week? Possibly. This week, Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan had Beck split first-team snaps with second-string quarterback Rex Grossman, who opened the season as the starter but was benched four games ago, according to three people with knowledge of the situation.

Any team that considers Rex Grossman as the guy who might swoop in and save the day has some serious issues.

Until the Shannahans are gone the Skins couldn't be saved if Superman played QB and Flash played WR.

Yep. He should be starting for them. He might make mistakes, but he moves the chains and they score more when he starts.

But he moves them in both directions.

Rex is the turnover Champion of the free world.

Rex should not have been benched.Shanahan did the same thing last year with McNabb with the same result.Shanahan is being exposed badly.

He made my Giants look like a bunch of little lost kids. Maybe the problem was deeper?
