Ohio State offense struggling with wildcat

08:20 AM ET 11.14 | Ohio State has a chance to play spoiler in 2011, including at Michigan, but the Buckeyes need a better passing game. The wildcat offense has possibilities, but not unless the Buckeyes introduce more elements and threats than just the growl of the running back after taking the direct snap. As Daniel Herron has said many times, he can throw it. But on Saturday, the Buckeyes lined up in the wildcat seven times, the first being a 25-yard run by Jordan Hall that put in motion the TD drive on their first possession of the second half. One problem: The other five official carries by Herron or Hall netted 17 yards. ... Another problem: The wildcat takes the ball out of the hands of OSU's most dangerous weapon -- [Braxton Miller].

Maybe you need a wildcat to run a wildcat offense.

There will be a new coach next year so Miller gets to learn a whole new offense over the summer ... yea ....

They will be fine when they get Posey back! Did anyone see the fine Tat's Boom was sporting, I think it was well worth the suspension! Okay maybe Posey can run the Shotgin formation when he gets back

I always thought that this wildcat offense was way overboard for most teams. I think they just should do things the regular way and develop their QB.

well 98% of the time it's a designed run so teams just load up the box and go after it.
