08:20 AM ET 11.16 | That creaking noise you hear is the coaching carousel lurching a bit. It's that time of year when names get floated about for head coaching jobs. Look for Auburn offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn's name to crop up, considering he turned down the Vanderbilt head job last year. ... [Gene Chizik says Auburn] is prudent to be ready with potential replacements, just in case. "You have several guys right now that you have in the back of your mind. You do that kind of thing in the offseason and you're prepared in advance for who those guys might be," Chizik said during his Tuesday press conference. "We don't spend a lot of time thinking about it during the season, but certainly during the offseason, you always have a plan."

As long as you have cash and Trooper you always have a chance.

Fulmer screwed over Trooper when he didn't make him OC when Cutcliffe left.

The delusional "we should have won a title by now" alum$ are tired of Sherm. The booster mafia out of San Antonio, with a long history of meddling, are restless.

Then the boosters need to ante up again and make it happen. hehe

All the on-field talent leaves/graduates this year. It will be easier to dump him next year without a controversy.
