Carlyle could land with Leafs

10:17 AM ET 11.20 | An educated guess: If the Anaheim Ducks continue to struggle, don't be surprised if Randy Carlyle winds up as the leading candidate to replace Ron Wilson as Leafs coach at the end of this season. And GM Bob Murray has to be regretting the three-year extension he gave Carlyle late last season... Strange thing about the Ducks: They had the consensus best line in hockey coming into this year - Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and Bobby Ryan - and yet are the lowest-scoring team in the Western Conference.

Do it.

And bring Perry and Getzlaf in a year or two when they are free agents.

Why not ask for the California sunshine too Argos.

Don't think the idea hasn't crossed his mind.

And I like the implication that Wilson makes through the entire season.

Yes, koff koff. Wasn't sunshinie Gretz enough.

I'll trade Toronto's cold winters, and humid summers, plus two firsts and a second for Southern California's weather.

It is a lose-lose for Leafs fan this year.

Make the playoffs, Wilson stays.
Miss the playoffs, Wilson fired.

The Ducks have just not been the same biligerant and truculent team since Burkie left...Why would the Leafs want Randy?

That's a great idea. Take a coach from an underperforming team and put him charge of the Leafs. I wonder how many draft picks Burke will give up to pry him away from the Ducks?

That's getting about as tired as Crosby sucks.
CROSBY SUCKS.

I'd take Toronto over anywhere in Southern California, weather included. What self respecting Canadian gets bethered by cold weather? Toronto winters aren't even very cold

Need to stay close to Burkie there is enough hot air coming out him to warm a village of Leaf fans ..

The Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin line would have something to say about the best line in the NHL.

The reinging Art Ross winners and who ever rides shotgun should be in the argument too
