08:00 AM ET 11.21 | Though it's not often a running game is so maligned by his head coach, Brandon Jacobs is used to the boos from Giants fans. [On] Sunday night, Jacobs knew that he and the struggling Giants' running game deserved it. Big Blue managed just 29 yards on 17 carries, a performance so horrible that Tom Coughlin ripped into the rushing attack after the game. "We had 29 yards rushing, which is about as pathetic as you can get," the frustrated coach said. "Our offensive line was completely outplayed by the front eight of Philadelphia." The Giants' longest gain of the evening was a nine-yard run by Jacobs early in the game. In contrast, LeSean McCoy's final carry of the day was a 60-yard gallop in the game's final minute.

You lost to a pathetic team playing without its starting quarterback, Tommy Boy. Maybe your wife can buy you some golf clubs on Black Friday. You'll be needing them.

Yep, the rumors of Coach Cowher taking the Giants will once again surface

I can't decide which is funnier: Coughlin's constipated look or Eli's helpless shrugs. Either way, watching the Giants lose is high comedy.

November 21, 2011  08:18 AM ET

Everyone knew that the Giants are rebuilding an aging O-line, so it's no surprise that they are having trouble running the ball. And Jacobs has been running with lead weights in his pants all season. But what happened to the D? There was no pressure on Young at all. Meanwhile, the Eagles D was getting pressure on Eli all night. Not a good night for the Giants.

You had to figure as soon as everyone started talking about how great (and Elite) he was playing, the bad Eli would show up.

NFC East is weak as whine cooler.

November 21, 2011  08:39 AM ET

Hey Coughlin, you just lost to a team with Vince Young as the starter.

November 21, 2011  08:43 AM ET

Dude, Jacobs is scared to run with any force, you should have addressed this in the offseason and NOT complain about it NOW.

Yesterday certainly proved that!

Words he spoke should definitely come up again. A class all his own, of course it's 2nd or 3rd tier in the NFL.

The number of facial expressions that Coughlin makes on the sideline during a game are priceless.

Lost to the "Dream Team" with VY as starter, not much to say

I would laugh about this but the Cowboys made Vince look like a HOF'er last season.

1-0 this season...

November 21, 2011  09:22 AM ET

The running game has been one of the Leagues worst all year, and without Bradshaw it was not going to get better.
Nothing new there. Ballard, Nicks and Cruz dropped 160 yards of passes. And that was the difference. This was never more than a very average NFL team that happens to be playing in a very average division with a less than average OL and weak LBs.

November 21, 2011  09:24 AM ET

It happens. Give the Eagles some credit...they played well on defense last night (kinda like that blind dog finding a bone thing)

defense rest.... skins, giants, seahawks and bucs, lose, lions can be had, there's a flicker of hope yet for the eagles....
