08:05 AM ET 11.21 | Andrei Kirilenko took a nasty face-first fall over the weekend, and the resulting injury threatens to keep him on the sideline. [Kirilenko] is likely to be sidelined for a few matches after suffering a broken nose during his CSKA Moscow's match against Krasnye Krylia in a Russian League game on Nov. 19. Kirilenko didn't move for several seconds after crashing to the floor in a Russian League game while blood flowing from above his eye pooled on the floor. Eventually, he could be seen talking as he was bandaged and walking off-court under his own power. CSKA issued a statement saying that in addition to the broken nose, Kirilenko received stitches for the cut, but apparently did not suffer a concussion.

Kirilenko never really "fit" into the NBA anyway. Maybe this is what he really likes!

.matches?What is he playing tennis?

That's an overseas publication......we have games, they have matches.

QUOTE(#2):

And the players want to go overseas..........

Well.....it was pretty much a forgone conclusion that even without the NBA lockout, Kirilenko was gonna be playing ball in Russia.....UNLESS....the Russian owner of the Nets could persuade him to go to New Jersey.

In any case, I'm sure the face-first dive into the court improved his ugly mug.....and that's all that really matters.

The guy was a pretty versatile player in his day. He isn't that old and I believe in the proper system he could thrive again. More as a undersized 4 than a 3 anymore.
