Hart prefers Capital over Rose Bowl
Posted: Wednesday January 02, 2008 06:56AM ET
Mike Hart's college career came to an end with a mixed day at the Capital One Bowl. He ran for 129 yards and scored two touchdowns but also lost two fumbles in the red zone, likely costing Michigan touchdowns. "I don't care about those fumbles," Hart said. "We won. Now, if we lost, I would have really cared about them. I'd rather be in this game than the Rose Bowl to tell you the truth," Hart said. "We played a great Florida team, the whole world was against us, we fought through adversity, showed great character, won a hard game."

Glad Michigan won, glad Coach Carr got to end his career on a high note. As for Hart, I am glad he is gone...this guy went from being the tough fiesty mighty-mite to a guy that pouted, did too much talking, and could not stay healthy. Looking forward to the next era of Michigan football.

Report Offensive CommentWEll dahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Thats a no brainer! Of course Hart would rather play in a Bowl they can win rather than a Bowl they're sure to loose. I am happy for Lloyd Carr and Chad Henne, who I've always felt was underrated and I'm no Michigan fan.

Report Offensive CommentTake away those turnovers and I'm not sure there are too many teams out there that could have beat UM yesterday, If they would have been able to be healthy and play that loose all year, they would be in the NC game...

Report Offensive CommentHe was lucky he was in FLA. Michigan would have had its a ss whupped blue in the Rose Bowl. Hart should learn to shut up.

Report Offensive CommentHart was telling the truth. Would he rather play a team that they had a chance to beat or would he have rather been throttled by USC? That's a no-brainer. The Trojans would have wiped the Rose Bowl floor up with the Wolverines. Thanks Mike for stating the obvious and invest in some epoxy before your next game.

Report Offensive CommentCaptain, what was the final score? I fell asleep during halftime. Oh well, at least Florida also lost, and besides, our arguments with the Florida boys will be settled in September.

Report Offensive CommentCongrats, blue. I agree with Truth. I wanted to smack Hart yesterday, everytime he touched the ball he was yacking at someone. And I guess I don't understand whats funny about fumbling...
Arrington... what the heck boy... wow those were some amazing catches.
Anyways, good win. Congrats Lloyd, best of luck as associate AD.
And to all the haters... remember USC lost to STANFORD. Promise App State beats Stanford if they play any time in the last three years...
Also, where are all the SEC haters now? Crapping in their pants about the national chapmionship game...

Report Offensive CommentAs an FSU fan it was beautiful to watch. Michigan is officially my adopted big brother.
nolesdabomb | 01/02/08, 11:28 AM
Report Offensive CommentOh, and Stanford happens to be coached by one of our old mediocre QBs, so its kind of like we already beat USC, since obviously it wasnt talent that beat them, it was coaching.

Report Offensive Commentnolesdabomb,
At least you had a choice in the matter... MSU didn't... Hart kidnapped them as his little brother.

Report Offensive CommentYes, xxx84xxx, the Wolverines looked tremendous - they probably would have only lost to Georgia or USC by 30

Report Offensive CommentI loved seeing some of those gators take the shots from a Big Ten defense, ya dont get hit like that down south...
Too bad the Bucks didn't play that aggressively last year

Report Offensive CommentNot so sure I really believe Mike Hart but yesterday was a great win. I'm sorry for the cynicism but the Rose Bowl is the ROSE BOWL. How could he say he would have rather been in the Capital One?

Report Offensive CommentI must admit, I did not see alot of Florida this year, but I was not impressed with Tebow's accuracy. Was this just a bad day or have I discovered a **** in the armour?
