Giants swoon may cost Coughlin

08:07 AM ET 11.22 | Antrel Rolle spoke Monday of an attitude adjustment and embarrassment , and now there's speculation that Sunday night's loss to the Eagles may be the start of a slide. The Giants better wake up and understand they are not just fighting for their season, they are fighting for their head coach???s future as well. If they cannot stem the tide of history of second-half collapses under Tom Coughlin, then the Giants hierarchy, which loves him, will likely be forced to make a change it would much rather not make. If the Giants show up as passive these next two weeks against Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers as they did against Vince Young and the Eagles, then the seat on which Coughlin sits, so cushy and comfy until the last two weeks, will be hotter than a heckled Rex Ryan.

Same old story every year about this time.

Last week Andy Reid was about to get fired, this week it's Tom, 3 weeks ago it was Belechik. These writers have no shortage of names since someone has to lose every Sunday

You mean hotter than a pickled Rex Ryan. It all about the food with Rex ...All about the food.

Still, they WERE pretty pathetic against the Eagles. VY played a decent second half for a guy with the mind of an 8 year-old.

Sometimes it's not about how good the coach is but about his style of coaching. It seems like the talented Giants need a coach they like less and fear more. No knock on Coughlin: he could walk into a different situation with different players and win another Super Bowl. But probably not with this lot of under-achievers.

They went through this before, had a team sit-down, I think Strahan and Pierce led it, maybe Barber was still there....

VY ... not bad if you consider his wonderlic score is lower that his jersey number.

Total BS. It is not how the Giants do business, and honestly, this team was given up for dead before the season started . They lost 2 of 3 starting LBs, their best defensive player in CB Terrell Thomas, Osi and Tuck have played half the time, the number one pick JUST got on the field, number 2 pick was Austin and he was suppose to be a big playing DT, receivers Smith and Boss gone and a remade OL.
Naw, I would argue this team has over achieved, and with all that, if they beat the Redskins and Cowboys twice, they win the division even if the Saints and Packers and Jets pound them silly.
They were picked to fight it out with the Redskins for third place week one.
This is a talent gap in too many places.

Yeah, but the same media picked the Eagles to go 16-0 during the regular season and only give up 53 points with Vick getting about 67 TD's and the Eagles not giving up any points in the playoffs.

They were the greatest team, since every team that Snyder put together in Washington.
