Lucic prepared for wicked Buffalo response

08:31 AM ET 11.23 | The last time the Bruins and Sabres met, Milan Lucic, in the eyes of so many, became all too acquainted with Ryan Miller. [Lucic] figures he has a fight waiting for him here [Wednesday], the residue of his infamous entanglement 11 days ago with [Miller] that left the Buffalo goalie hurting, coach Lindy Ruff fuming, and Sabres teammates apologizing for standing idly by in the aftermath of Lucic's shot heard 'round the world. For all of that, the 23-year-old Lucic figures something wicked his way comes when the two clubs face off at the First Niagara Center. "Yes . . . I am not going to lie . . . yes," a smiling Lucic said matter-of-factly when asked yesterday afternoon if he expects someone on the Sabres roster to engage him.

The only one on Buffalo i'd be afraid of is Lindy Ruff.

I'll take the under on this one. Except for the crowd screaming for blood, I'll bet nothing much happens. Could I be wrong? Sure. But, I never have been. :-)

Buffalo is in a "no-win" situation.

If they do something, they'll be accused of "picking their spots" and waiting to get to home to do anything.

If they don't do something, they'll be accused of being soft, Vancouver soft that is. Plus, they've already benched Meyers before he got hurt over this.

Buffalo Gals won't you come out tonight?

why would he be worried...when it happened no one on the sabres did anything...why would it change 11 days later.

You may be right. Just a quick question................after last night, do the Leaf's lead the league in touchdowns?

The media in Buffalo was hilarious last week. Everyone called out Meyers, but those other 19 guys on the bench got a free pass.

Just a refresher:

The announcers are so bad they're great!

The first choice is their "best" option.

No reason to be worried about him either. Watch the top right on the screen and Mr Neely will show you why.

It'll be interesting because the make-up of the 2 teams is so different. Boston has Thronton, Campbell, McQuaid, Chara, Lucic, Boychuk, and I don't think that Buffalo has anyone to compare to those guys.

I like Ruff's "Jeff Van Gundy" impersonation at the end where he grabs Lucic's leg.

From a Buffalo perspective I really don't see anything good coming from the Sabres trying to rumble with the Bruins.

Lets see first Pacioretty, then Miller. Someone should investigate the Bruins.

Yeah, pretty pathetic. He did learn the "turtle" very well though.

I believe Dudley Doo-Right already did.

Who would win if Ruff took on Julien? :)

Let's see, first Neely then Savard.

Someone should investigate the Penguins.

For some reason, Julien seems like one of those guys you wouldn't want to mess around with.

I wish Pat Burns was involved in this somehow. (RIP Pat)

Scary thought of the day: In the last two games Gustavsson has played, the Leafs have won by a combined 14-2 margin.
