08:34 AM ET 11.24 | Don't expect Matt Barkley to be overly emotional if Saturday's game against UCLA turns out to be his last at USC. Barkley has maintained his 50-50 stance regarding the NFL draft, a decision he will make sometime after the season after talking it over with his family and coaches. He said he's in a "completely different" situation from another former Mater Dei quarterback, Matt Leinart, who struggled to control his emotions at the start of his final USC game in 2005. Leinart was a redshirt senior at the time with no option to return. "We're going to work with him a little later in the week on that, make sure that he doesn't pull a Leinart on us," USC coach Lane Kiffin said. "Matt was still crying late in the first series."

Dear Lane Kiffin,
"Thanks a##hole." Signed Matt Leinart.
But, of course, Leinart has said some unflattering things about Kiffin in the past. Supposedly, he told people that when Kiffin was the OC, he several times had to tell Kiffin to shut up since he didn't know what was going on but insisted on talking during meetings.

I hope he makes the right decision. Sanchez could have used the extra year at USC and I would love to see Barkley come back, but we all know it is money driven!!!

Thinking about that USC team from 2004...Best team since the mid 90's Nebraska teams? Perhaps Miami of 2000? I guess that's an argument for another day. There have been some awesome teams throughout the years. Everything I have read indicates Barkley is a better person off the field. Good for him.

Yes they should give it back!!! LOL. IMO I don't like this wild card BS, you win your division and then you move on, but you and I know it's all money driven.!!!! I also don't like the DH in the AL, as an old timer I think everyone should hit, that's the way baseball should be played. :-)

It worries me to agree with such an old old-timer...am I becoming one? I never have liked the DH, makes the manager's job too easy...
